This is hard for me to share, as Im still trying cope and adjust with the news myself. As of June 3rd I have been diagnosed with breast cancer called invasive ductual carcinoma stage 2. Plus doctors discovered something on my lungs that could change the stage from a 2 to 4 but is battling with my insurance now to get a pet scan done to look into it further so that is pending. By me only being at my job for 5 months, I dont qualify for FLMA and that is by law you will need to be at your place of employment for a year to qualify. Prior to this happening, Im already 2 thousand in debt to try to see the doctor while waiting for my benefits to kick in. Now that my benefits have kicked in along with FSA ( Flexible spending account) I put away $350.00 (this year is annual). I thought that was more than enough to pay for doc visits, prescriptions, etc. that I rarely was going to need. Until I was told what my diagnose was. My deductables have not been met yet. Since then I have been in and out of doctor visits/ surgery. For the surgery they needed me to pay 1300.00 upfront that I didnt have, I had to get a echo ultrsound done and they needed 427.00 upfront I didnt have. Then I had to get blood gene test done that they needed me to pay 75.00 for right now Im not sure what the cost will be after the fact continuing on. This is not even including my medication I will need. I had to pay 45.00 out of pocket to pay for my thryoid medicine. I went to CVS to see how much my medication will cost that I needed after surgery and for prior chemo came out to 91.00 that I didnt have. Keep in mind I have exhausted my FSA account to help pay for all of this. So I was hoping on the day of chemo the facility will have samples to get me through the treatment. Now 6/14/19 marks my first day for chemo treatment that almost didnt happened because my insurance wanted me to pay upfront 2 thousand that we didnt have. All these experiences the doctors have all placed me on a payment plan to try and meet the deductable for my insurance to start paying 80%-100%. So the facility still took me in to begin treatment. The doctor is wanting me to do chemo for 4 months once or twice a week for treatment and then in between that I have more doc visits. Some of you who know me that I dont like to ask and I try to do the best I can secretly. You know that saying you want not because you ask not. So here I am never thought I would be creating this page. I know the donation goal is maybe a bit much, but what ever you give will be appreciated. As the bills roll in I will be posting them on the page and with whatever dontation that is accumulated. I will be posting what has been paid and keep everyone in the loop. Thanks in advance.
