Tragic Mountain Lion Attack on 8 y/o in Bailey
Donation protected
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, a brave 8 year old boy in our community of Bailey, Colorado, suffered a terrifying attack from a mountain lion. He was jumping on his trampoline with his brother when a neighbor friend called his name. The boy hopped off the trampoline and started running to his friend. A mountain lion attacked him, biting his head and creating major lacerations to his head, face and neck. His brother ran inside and grabbed his father, who immediately ran out. As their father approached, the mountain lion ran off.
This compassionate young boy has endured multiple surgeries, and he’ll have to face more down the road. With a future unknown, as well as the trauma the entire family has lived through (and continues to face), we’re asking for caring individuals to help in an unimaginably difficult time.
Donations will go toward ongoing medical expenses and recovery, as it will be lifelong. Donations will also go toward travel expenses and lost wages.
His loving mother, a local school teacher, and proud father, a member of the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, are extremely grateful for your support.
They ask for privacy from the media out of respect for their son and his journey of recovery.
