Mexico has always been a huge dream for me.

I’ve visited a lot of places in my life, but I don’t think any place could top the culture, the views and the people of Cancún.

I am so lucky to have been able to visit this place, unfortunately it took a turn for the worst.

My significant other and I had planned to visit a Cenote, a beautiful cave filled with freshwater, ready to swim in, formed over millions and millions of years.

The only to get there was by an ATV (Quad bike for most), as it is located in the middle of a jungle, named Aktun Chen.

We had a fantastic time getting to the Cenote, even visiting an animal sanctuary, housing various wildlife from Spider Monkeys to White Deer.

The Cenote itself, also named Aktun Chen should certainly be considered one of the Wonders of The World.

Clean, fresh water, tropical fish and unfiltered sunlight creeping in through holes above.

However, one the way back, we encountered dusty paths and rugged roads.

Unfortunately, I lost control, throwing my partner and I off the quad bike.

I put my hands together every time that my partner is okay. Bruised and scarred, but otherwise okay.

I, on the other hand have suffered a fractured spine, on my first lumbar.

I have been bed-ridden since Wednesday (14th Nov) as I am writing this on Sunday.

My family, my girlfriends family and herself have been fantastically supporting, and as you can imagine, our insurance company declined to provide any financial support, causing significant financial hardship on myself family, my partner and myself.

I would like to start this fundraiser to help my girlfriend and I receive the best treatment possible. Nothing is too little and every little thing is appreciated. Even just a kind message, or a prayer for her and I. Nothing within this was written by AI, purely from the heart.

I am giving this a go, after one of my good friends had mentioned this.
