Charlotte Jones just turned 1 yr. last month. She is such a beautiful baby with a smile that warms your heart and blue eyes that can see into your soul. She is such a happy baby that loves her family and her big brother Michael. On January 17th, 2021, a dog attacked her, and she experienced serious injuries to the side of her face and head. Her parents, Mikey and Brittany rushed her to the hospital. At the hospital the cat scan reviled that she had fractured bones in her face, a lot of damage to her tissue on the side of her face and was transferred by ambulance to the Phoenix children’s hospital.

The next morning a surgeon performed a 3-hour surgery on her. The surgeon said the fractured bones in her face will heal and that he did not have to put an implant in to stabilize her bones, but there was some nerve damage. He repaired the nerves but will not know for 6 weeks if there will be any permanent damage. Her eye is functional, and her eardrum is intact. The surgeon said that she will have minimal scar tissue after she heals, and he was able to repair her skin and facial muscle injuries. Charlotte has had to remain on IV antibiotics and pain medicine since she was hospitalized because of the dog bite. As of today, she is still in the hospital. It is very hard on Mikey and Brittney because of Covid and that they both cannot be with her at the same time.

If you know the Jone’s family, you know that Mikey, Brittney, Michael, and Charlotte are a special family. Mikey and Brittney are kind and generous. They would help anyone in need in any situation. They would be the first to offer to help or support anyone anyway that they can. Each person in this family has a heart of gold and praying for the best outcome for baby Charlotte.

This incident will be a monumental hardship to the family’s finances. The hospital bills will be a tremendous amount of money. Last month they just paid off the cost of Charlotte's birth. If you know this family, I know that they have helped you in some way. They now need everyone’s help to help pay for baby Charlottes medical bills. No amount donated towards her medical bills is too small and anything will help. Please help if you can.



UPDATE: This baby girl is a strong one. Charlotte was released from hospital on the night of January 19th. She was eating so well the doctor approved her release. She had a rough night at home. This poor little girl was vomiting the majority of the night. Brittney thinks it is because she didn't eat much once she got home. She has a follow-up appointment today. I will add updates as we go through this tough baby girl's recovery.
