Amy Bishop’s husband had a massive stroke.

Amy Bishop’s husband Alan Scarborough had a massive stroke last Friday. Amy has been a good friend since 7th grade and Alan is my husband’s cousin. He was in ICU for 3 days & is now on the stroke unit (6th floor) at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, VA. Next week he will be moved into Maryview, an in-house Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Center in Portsmouth, VA. Physical therapy may take weeks or months. They live on Hatteras Island, NC which is a 3 hour drive from the hospital in Virginia so Amy is staying at my home & I drive her to the hospital each day. Meanwhile they have rent, electric bills, gas, medical bills, etc piling up. Not able to work to pay bills is an added stress.
