Medical bills & expenses-Gabe Valenzuela & family

My name is Noemi Valenzuela and I am Gabriel Valenzuela’s little sister. My brother Gabe was in a car accident back in June and is still on his recovery journey. I am fundraising to help Gabe and his family during this difficult time of recovery.

The accident happened about and hour and a half away from the rest of our family here in Appleton. The evening that the accident happened I received the call from Gabe’s girlfriend, Damaris who explained what happened. Just the day before the accident happened I had gone to visit Gabe and his family, meeting my newborn nephew for the second time.

My brother and his family were in the car when another driver crashed into the front of Gabe’s car. My nephew, Emmanuel, was only a 1 week old newborn at the time the accident happened but was actually born about 9 days earlier. Gabe had the blessing of welcoming his son on Fathers day and that was a true miracle. I was glad that my precious nephew was safe during the accident.

At that time the accident happened my brother could feel like a bone was sticking out but the damage was internal except for a cut going down his thumb and ended up with stitches in the ER. The injuries Gabe sustained were nerve damage and a broken radius on his dominant right hand/wrist/forearm.

I was fortunate to visit Gabe 3 days after the accident to take him to his first doctors appointment where his surgeon explained what the process of surgery day would be. About a week and a half later I drove back down to the Menominee Falls area and picked up Gabe for surgery day. For the surgery, they inserted a metal plate with a chance of having to insert a pin near his wrist for mobility. I spent the whole day at the hospital and I wanted to be there for everything. The surgery went as planned, I was updated throughout the entire process. To see a loved one go through a traumatic experience plus need to undergo surgery on top of that was a very emotional and rough time.

Many of you know I was in a car accident last year and I was injured with a road to recovery as well. Gabe was my support. He helped me overcome the obstacles I faced and did not complain at all. I remember he took off of work to be there for me, went to visit me in the ER, carried me into the house when I was unable to walk due to my fracture and even asked our neighbors for a walker for me to use. He also took me to my first appointment and would spend time with me so I was not alone.

Gabe has a loving and caring soul. He is a selfless and generous person who will stop what he is doing to help out. Gabe is a hard worker, a talented guitarist and drummer, a father, a brother, a son, a partner, a boxer and overall a champion who will not back down. Gabe is now in the process of his recovery with physical therapy to slowly help with movement, the swelling and to help with the lost time of not able to use his right hand.

The accident resulted with Gabe being off of work for practically this whole summer, without a car and slightly limited to being able to help Damaris with Emmanuel.

I would like to ask for your prayers in my brothers recovery as well as for his family. If you feel it in your heart to donate to Gabe and his family, that would help to cover medical balances, provide for necessities at home as well as the damages of his car due to the negligence of the driver. I ask for you to please share Gabe’s story and this link. Gabe never gives up, he will not backdown. He will overcome the obstacles and challenges. And he is not alone, he has your support.
