This is Greg.

 Greg and I collectively can't remember exactly when we met but it was on the job as licensed security guards, back in 2003 or so. As a guard, you worked whatever sites the company put you on and every so often, we'd bump into each other. Our mutual love of all things technology, as well as binge watching How I Met Your Mother, lead to us hanging out pretty often and even working together off and on with I.T. related jobs.

Fast forward to the spring of 2015 and Greg is asking me to be the best man at his wedding, a job for which I was honoured to take on and perform to the best of my abilities. The reason being is that Greg is the kinda guy that would drop what he's doing to help just about anyone. If you really needed the shirt he had on, you'd best catch cause it was comin' atchya. I've had him offer things, commonly computer parts, more times than I can count cause he thought I might like or need them and just hadn't asked but the thing he was best at was offering his time & friendship.

Earlier this year, with his health not being the greatest and being unable to work most of the time, Greg, his wife Maryanne and their two kids moved back to his native province of Newfoundland while Greg's son, the eldest of his three kids, stayed back in Ontario with his mom (Greg's ex-wife).

Now, having had surgeries to replace parts of his wrists from carpel tunnel, beating cancer and dealing with diabetes, he finds himself landed in the hospital due to having seizures; Something the doctors have yet to figure out the cause of. As this is the case, there are medical tests to be done and a fair amount of time in the hospital to get this figured out. In the meantime, he's in need of a wheelchair, walker and physio therapy for likely the next year+ as he has become unable to walk more than 10 feet or so at a time without assistance.
