Medical Bills and Other Expenses for CW Dawson

Hi, I'm Rev. Molly Housh Gordon and I'm fundraising for my friend and colleague the Rev. Dr. CW Dawson. He is a treasure to our community and he is going through a very tough time with his health after a recent diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis. Let's help take some of the stress off of CW and his beautiful wife Maria by raising funds to help with medical expenses, lost income, and other expenses caused by this health challenge.

CW himself writes this:

I have been diagnosed as having idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The medical team does not know what caused it ( ie. idiopathic) There is no cure and it is terminal ( medical opinion). One team suggested that I have a year or so to live. Of course, I am going to have a second opinion on Jan. 26th.

First, let me say that only god knows how long we have here so I am not afraid of a second negative report. Both can be wrong. Secondly, the only thing this news has done is motivated me to get on with my teaching, preaching, and research on Colorism and Christianity. While the disease exhausts me, I press on.

I ask for two things. First, I solicit your prayers and positive thoughts. I believe I am going to be around for a while. Everyone my age realizes that we will not live as long as we already have lived. I am prepared for the next part of the journey but I do not believe God is finished with me yet!

Second I ask that you support me with the Colorism and Christianity research project. If you donated in 2022, please donate again in 2023. I want to finish this phase of the project this year to help combat racism in the form of colorism in American society. I believe this research is important. I need your help.
