Medical Bills and Financial Expenses

Hello, my name is Kimberly. I am the grandmother to a beautiful new baby granddaughter, Katrina, that was born on 01/12/24. Unfortunately, she has experienced some pretty serious complications causing her to be admitted to the NICU and we have no idea when she will be able to be released. Long story short, she was born with a cyst underneath the skin of her lower eyelid that blocked the tear duct causing infection. She has been unable to eat without her oxygen levels dropping so she’s now primarily fed by a nasogastric tube. She is very weak. Her bilirubin has been at a critical level and she is now under the bili lights. They have been unable to resolve this issue also. One of their main concerns right now is her oxygen levels dropping dangerously low. She has also been losing weight.

I’m making this Go Fund Me in hopes that we can get this deserving family some financial help. The medical bills are already coming in. My daughter-in-law Jasmine is on medical leave and my son is unable to work because they also have a beautiful 14 month old daughter at home. My son is traveling to and from the hospital a few times a day which is a 30 minute drive one way. Jasmine has not left the baby’s side. Katrina also needs to see a pediatric ophthalmologist and that is not covered under their insurance.
