This is KB on the Big Daddy donuts senior softball team, one of our own Brent Pate AKA “Pater” lost his battle to
cancer on 6/23/2022. Brent fought a courageous battle but the cancer was just too aggressive. Brent was diagnosed in December of 2021 with Dedifferentiated lipo sarcoma which is a soft tissue cancer, this is an extremely rare cancer, less than 1% of people in the United States have it. Brent has gone through chemo and radiation On June 1st he had a 14 hour surgery to remove the tumor and has had multiple surgeries due to complications.
Pate was one of a kind and lived his life to the fullest, he loved being a Papa. When Brent smiled it made everyone smile. If you know Brent you know what I mean!
Anyone who knows Brent and his wife Christina know that they are incredibly private people and would never ask for help so we are taking this out of their hands and we are asking if you would consider making a donation to help with medical bills and lesson the financial stress on Christina while she begins to heal. All funds are set up to deposit directly into Brent and Chris’s account to help with medical bills and funeral expenses. Brent was at KU med for 23 days with Christina by his side so she has not worked.
Brent has a huge support system in his family, work, friends and softball family. Brent has been on a field playing his entire life, he has played senior softball for the past 10 years and last played with our team Big Daddy donuts and we are asking all of you to donate anything you can, even small amounts add up.
If you can’t help financially please just pray.
we thank you and To God be the Glory.

Rest In Peace Pater, free of pain. Watch over Christina and your family, I know you are with Ryan and your mom. Till we all meet again, fly high♥️
