Medical Bills After Brain Bleed

Hi. My name is Marty, and I want to tell you about my brother-in-law, Dwane Sims. On the morning of January 19, 2023, Dwane developed a sudden and severe headache. He was taken to the emergency room of our local hospital where a CT scan of his brain showed a Subarachnoid hemorrhage, commonly called a brain bleed. He was air-lifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. After over two weeks in Neuro ICU, Dwane will soon be coming home. He will have a permanent shunt in place to drain excess spinal fluid; however, there are no other physical effects from the bleed. His family and friends are praising God that Dwane will return home, telling jokes, walking, talking, and singing..all without assistance. Financial effects are quite another subject. As you probably know, medical care is not cheap, and the family could use some help with those expenses. Dwane does not have traditional insurance. He does belong to a medical cost-sharing program which will provide some reimbursement AFTER medical bills are paid. Help is needed to pay the bills. Please help, if you can. Thank you.
