Medical bill support for Nevaeh Acosta

Hi, my name is Kristen and I’m raising money for my little sister Nevaeh Acosta’s medical bills. Over the weekend of Feb. 21st Nevaeh became ill with what was thought to be the flu as it had been going around in the house, but Sunday night the unthinkable happened and she collapsed. EMS was called and she was rushed to the ER in critical condition. She remained unstable throughout the night and was told her prognosis was not good. She had went into septic shock. Her kidneys, bladder and gallbladder were all infected abut worst of all she had congestive heart failure and her heart was working at 20%. It wasn’t strong enough for the treatment she needed. They needed to lifeflight her to a better center for her to receive the care she needed. While waiting for the flight she ended up with multiple clots in her left arm. As long as she can get blood flow down the arm they will just monitor this but if the clots block the oxygen too much she runs the risk of needing an amputation. She was finally flighted to St Luke’s to receive treatment and is on the road to recovery finally after an extremely stressful 24 hours. She is still really sick and will need to remain in the ICU for some time and then continue treatment for the damage to her heart and kidneys. However being only 19 years old and working part time Nevaeh is without insurance and she has cried and stressed about the cost of the care she is receiving. I would like to raise 50,000 for her medical expenses so that she can concentrate on her health and getting better rather then stress about money as it will only make her sicker! Please help my sister and our family! We’ve been through a lot and could use some support! Thank you!

We will use these funds for -medical bills, transportation and housing costs for her parents as they are in a different city, lost wages to help with utilities at home, any medical products she may need when she comes come ei- walker, bath chair.
