Medical Emergency - Pls Support for my daughter’s treatment

Hello Everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my elder daughter, PRANITHA MOHAN, who is just 6 years old.

she was suddenly hospitalized in May 25, 2025 with severe pain in her legs and hand, unable to walk or even stand.

At first, doctors suspected Osteomyelitis, a serious bone infection. As parents, we were devastated and overwhelmed. After further tests and evaluations, the diagnosis became less certain — they now believe it could be either Reactive Arthritis (a temporary condition triggered by an infection) or Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), a chronic inflammatory disease that affects children.

She is currently recovering at home on antibiotics, but we’re still waiting for clarity. She has a critical rheumatology appointment on August 29, 2025, which will determine the next course of action. Depending on the diagnosis, she may require further treatments, possibly long-term.

Why We Need Your Help

Unfortunately, our medical bills have already exceeded $30,000 CAD, and the financial strain is becoming unmanageable.

Although I am a Permanent Resident, my family members are currently in Canada on visitor visas and are not covered under OHIP. Unfortunately, our private insurance provider, Sun Life, also did not cover these medical expenses.

Current Status: My daughter’s Permanent Resident application was submitted and is currently in process (since June 2025).

We are humbly seeking your help to raise $35,000 CAD to cover:

• Current hospital bills

• Follow-up treatments and ongoing specialist visits

• Potential travel to India for additional care after consultations at SickKids Hospital in August.
