Medical bill fund for our Nana
Donation protected

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Creating this GoFundMe has been an emotional rollercoaster and I truly hope anyone reading this never had to make one. But if you do, I'll be there for you. So here we go:
This is Christine. The kindest, nicest, best Nannie and mom around. You might not know her but if you ever met her then you probably know all about my children, myself and my brother. My mom loves her family, especially her grandkids and my God do they love her. The past 10 years have been anything but easy. She's been battling Breast Cancer for about a decade; and as with most cancer it hides for some time but will always come back. Or as my mom's most recent doctor told us "it always wins".
My mom has been through chemo twice, radiation, medication, surgeries and plenty of heartbreak. All while always being the actual best Nana to her 3 (soon to be 4) grandchildren. This is more than anyone should have to endure in a lifetime.
Recently she was admitted to the hospital thinking she had COVID. Unfortunately it was much worse. Her breast cancer has returned and spread to her lungs and bones. At this point the doctors don't want to have her on traditional chemo. They are having her try a full body experimental treatment. This treatment's price tag could buy a house. Like a nice house. And that's after insurance.
This is where it gets difficult. My dad was laid off this past January. He worked for a company for 40 YEARS. 40. They let him go with an option to take an embarrassment of a severance package or keep his health insurance for a year. Obviously being the husband he is, and knowing my mom's medical history he took the insurance even though they really needed the money.
That brings us to December. Dad's insurance is about to run out and this experimental treatment is expensive. Even with insurance (ibrance is a pill she's currently taking and a 2 month supply is literally $14,000).
My husband and I are doing everything we can to help my parents. We both work nonstop. My parents don't know about this gofundme because they would NEVER allow me to do it for them, but honestly I am out of ideas, and we appreciate and need the help. Please help my mom spend a little more time on this earth with the people who love her.
I am a fully licensed esthetician and would be happy to offer a complimentary service to anyone who is kind enough to donate.
