My name is Sgt. Johnny Armijo and I am asking for assistance with my ongoing medical bills. On September 28th 2019, I suffered a brain aneurysm. While in the hospital, I was undergoing treatment that left me with a severe spinal cord injury.
On February 18th 2020, I went to Denver for my first spinal cord surgery. Recovery for this surgery was a minimum of a year. My strength was finally coming back. I was scheduled to return to full duty. Then on October 24th 2021, one month before returning to work, my son and I got into a bad accident on the highway. The accident ruined the progress of the first surgery, and it caused internal bleeding in my back that caused additional loss of feeling.
I am now back at square one. I now have to return to Denver to have another surgery on my spine. My doctors have advised if I do not have surgery done, it would eventually lead me to be a paraplegic. This surgery will give me a 50/50 chance to gain all functionality of my lower extremities.
My medical bills are mounting and I am humbly asking for financial assistance. Any amount, whether large or small is appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Sgt. JJ Armijo
NMSP
