Medical assistance for Aaron and his family
As many of you know, Aaron was in a severe car accident on Saturday night around 10pm, where he was hit on the passenger side by a semi-truck. Aaron was taken by helicopter to Hurley Medical Center where he was non-responsive.
In addition to bleeding in his brain and abdominal bleeding, Aaron has a punctured lung, and multiple broken bones including several vertebrae in his neck and back, a broken right leg (femur), broken right wrist, multiple breaks in his left arm, a shattered left hip and multiple broken ribs.
They have successfully removed his spleen (stopped abdominal bleeding), relieved bleeding in the brain, and partially repaired some of the vertebrae in his neck. He is scheduled for surgery to begin orthopedic work. He will need many more surgeries after this one
Aaron remains minimally responsive, but is critical stable.
All of this being said, he will have a long long road of recovery ahead of him and at this time we are unsure of what that recovery will look like once he wakes up due to brain trauma. He will likely be spendingmany months in the hospital and be out of work many more. His wife, Madison, is the only visitor allowed in the room with him and will be for the foreseeable future. They will need help with meals, fuel, childcare costs, and medical expenses that we can only begin to comprehend. Please consider helping this young family in their time of need.
