Hi, My name is Kelly, most of you know me, but for those who don't, I am Virginia's Daughter and Serge's stepdaughter. Our family was devastated last year when Serge was diagnosed with stage 4 Liver failure. Over the year we were informed that the only treatment would be for Serge to receive a transplant. My mom and the team of doctors have been working diligently to get Serge on the transplant list and we feel we are very close. Serge was a commercial/Charter fisherman for most of his life and due to his illness he had to hang up his career. My mom in her retirement phase of life has had to continue working full-time to help keep up with the household and medical bills. those who know my mom know how much of a hardworking caring woman she is. Serge has been on a rapid decline over the last few months and my mom has had to take a lot of time off of work to help with his care.

My Mom and Serge would be the last people to ask for help, but the first to offer it to other people. I hope to help take a bit of the financial burden off their shoulders while they get to the next phase of treatment. This will require them to relocate to Vancouver to await a transplant.
