UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!Here is what is going on with my mom.. My mom's valves are narrowing in her heart and her neck. Her lung pressure is 135 (they have never seen a pressure that high it should be 25) She has a huge mass on her lung.. The narrowing of her valves is from Rheumatic fever when she was young. (Nobody remembers her having it. You can read what it does to your heart).. They are doing a million tests and we are waiting back for them right now. They think my mom has a rare cancer called carcinoid.( only 8000-12000 people get a year that s. 00008% ) The Drs are working with cardiologists all over trying to fight for my mom she is a one of a kind case she will be making medical journals they said.... So here is their plans.....
STEP ONE.. We fly to Stanford to get accessed to have a balloon placed in her valves to relieve the pressure of her heart and get blood flowing and hopefully that will relieve the pressure of her lungs.
STEP 2... if that works they will see if she will be able to handle open heart surgery to replace those valves..
STEP 3.. if they are to damaged my mom will be then assessed and if a good candidate will be put on the registry for a heart and lung transplant (only about 200 people a year recieve both a lung and heart)
STEP4.. if it's carcinoid then she will be accessed and checked for a heart and lung transplant..
MY MOM is critical and is dying so please keep the prayers coming. We need all these steps to work and we need her to not have this rare cancer..
