Medical and Travel expenses Tom Bass

This month will all testing done, for the moment, to our dismay it was "that" cancer. A very rare aggressive form of lymphoma, it's real name "T-CELL/HISTIOCYTE RICH B CELL "...yeah say WHAT????. we just know it is rare and can be treated. We do not know what stage at this time, just that is a very aggressive form of lymphoma. Many of you known this is not the first time cancer has affected our family, so we are getting ready for yet another fight against cancer. Tom is living in eastern Kern County and the only place for him to receive treatment is in Bakersfield - a good hour and a half  away - one way. He will be doing chemotherapy once a week every 3 weeks,not to mention all the tests that will need to be ran in between. They would like for him to go to UCLA for a third (yes 3rd) opinion because his cancer is that rare from my understanding.  He has already had to make two emergency runs to get transfusions because his calcium was too high, which is very dangerous and can cause major organ damage. Unfortunately there may be more of these needed as well.

I wanted to do this GoFundMe to help him with all travel expenses that will be incurred, Tammy taking time off work to be with him during those times.  For medication expenses which may be extensive. 

Tom is known for being a really big bad @$$ in his younger days, and I laughed because I know him as a marshmallow (sorry your cover is blown bro) the kind of dad, uncle and now grandpa that actually plays with the kids. The kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, his last dollar if you needed it more than he did. Tom has 2 grown children with their significant others and just welcomed his 4th grandchild as we were getting this news, not to mention the bonus kids and grandchildren he welcomed with the addition of his longtime girlfriend Tammy. They are all doing what they can, this is just something I can do for him. He has been a pain in my backside, my biggest cheerleader and the one who told it to me straight at times. He has always strived to put family first, it's now time for us to put him first.
