Medical and travel expenses for Ed Buchanan

Hello, my name is Michelle Tanner, I have started a GoFundMe account on behalf of Ed Buchanan. Ed has been out work for months now and will not be returning to work anytime soon due to having cancer. Margaret, his wife hasn’t been working either due to taking Ed to his treatments. So in hopes of easing the burdens financially with is GoFundMe they are accepting donations. Anything helps. Ed was diagnosed with penile cancer in 2022. The doctors thought surgery would take care of all cancer then but later in 2022, the cancer had spread his lymph nodes in his groin and abdomen. He had chemo once a week for 5 weeks and radiation as well during this time at Emory Hospital as a clinical trial. Before they even started all of that he would be told that he would have surgery after that 5 weeks. After that 5 weeks Ed's follow-up scans were not good. The chemo and radiation had touched a little of the cancer in his lymph nodes in the groin but the cancer in the abdomen hadn't been touched and had spread to both lungs. The doctors have told him that he would be on medication for the rest of his life and the surgery they had said he would have was out of the picture now. Ed will now be starting really strong chemo in 2 weeks and may be more in the weeks aafter. He will get his port in on the same day he starts chemo. We are praying that Ed's kidneys can handle the new chemo. If not they will have to stop this chemo and start a new clinical therapy in Tampa FL. So with all this being said Ed will not be returning to work anytime soon and Margaret Ed's wife will need to be by his side during this rough road ahead.
