Hello friends and family. This is hard to do. As some of you may know, our son, Corbin, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Cushings Disease caused by a tumor on his pituitary gland. This disease can be fatal if left un-treated and will not be cured if the tumor is not removed. He has been accepted as a patient to be treated and have his surgery at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC. Because we are teachers in Germany, and all of our travel expenses will not be covered, we are facing a large out-of-pocket expense for flights to get him there and stay for approx 4-6 weeks, in lodging or a hotel. We also will need to rent a car for some of the time too. One of the biggest things that will affect us is that we will both be losing about a month of pay to take time off to be there for our son. We are not asking for much, but every little bit will help in some way. Thank you so much for your support of our son and family. We want to get him back to his senior year as soon as possible.
