We are lucky to still have my uncle alive. On Monday night December 13th ourTio Pichín fell out of bed and into a sliding glass door in my grandma’s home shattering the old window and causing multiple deep cuts all over his body. He was rushed to the hospital with a very low chance of survival after losing so much blood. After receiving 180 stitches he is now at home receiving care from my 97yr old grandmother and my Dad. Our family is now burdened with the costs of medical expenses and repairs for the home in a sinking economic situation back home in Lima. My sister and I are fundraising in hopes that friends can help match our efforts to help our family through this tough time during the holidays.
