Medical and related expenses for Missy Rarrat

We’re reaching out to Missy Rarrat’s friends and family to help ease the financial burden. Missy has been a friend of the Thiele family since she and Nikki were in the 1st grade clear back in 1986. She is currently fighting some pretty serious medical issues, which are causing her to have to take a leave of absence from the job she loves at the Sioux City Hard Rock.

Missy has always made people laugh. A good roast from Missy is her love language. If she roasted you, she liked you, and she likes A LOT of people! She has always helped those in need, while never asking for anything in return. She’s made lasting friendships with people everywhere she goes - even transients on a vacation to Vegas!

She’s delaying her wedding to her fiancé Matt while she battles this disease. She’s also the mother to her newly engaged son Dylan and his fiancée Haley and “adopted mom” to Jackie, Josephine and Jenna, whom she took on when her best friend passed way. She’s grandma to Baylor and soon to be stepmom to Mia and Jack, not to mention her beloved Bernies, Abe and Maui.

Now our family is reaching out and asking you to help Missy. Medical expenses are adding up - trips to the Mayo clinic, trips to doctors in Omaha, co-pays, plus prescriptions. Excepting help isn’t easy for Missy, but anything you’re able to give would be deeply appreciated by her and her family.

Missy is battling Malignant Neuroendocrine tumors, a condition in which the neuroendocrine cells develop into tumors. Her team of doctors is currently figuring out the best plan of action, since this is such a rare condition. Once she is on the road to recovery, we will celebrate with some type of party with multiple bands/singers. Details to come.
