Medical and Recovery Relief For Fire Survivors
Our daughter, Faith Cain was involved in a tragic house fire early in the morning of January 31, 2024.
Faith suffered critical burns and smoke inhalation and was med-flighted to UAB Burn Center where she remains in the Birmingham Intensive Care Unit.
Our 2 yr old granddaughter, Willow suffered minor injuries, cinged hair and nostrils and smoke inhalation. She was held for observation at Huntsville Hospital Women and Childrens Hospital for a day before being discharged.
Tragically, Faith's partner, Thomas Bradley O'Barr succumbed to the flames and smoke, not making it out of the fire, losing his life.
Their home was a total loss.
First of all, we are asking for prayers for Brad's family. He was their only son.
Second, we are asking for everyone to please pray for Faith's full recovery and for comfort for Faith's children, Willow age 2, Ben age 10 and Mia age 8 during this very difficult and scary time.
Faith will need help in the near future with obtaining housing, furniture, clothing, medical expenses in what we are told will be a long brutal recovery. Obviously, she will be unable to work and will have to start from scratch as they lost everything they own.
We praise God that Faith and Willow's lives were spared. We grieve for Tommy O'Barr and Linda Law as they endure the terrible nightmare of losing their only child. We are unsure of funeral arrangements for Brad at the time of me posting this. I can update that information once I find out as I'm sure they may need help with funeral expenses as well.
If you feel led to donate for Faith and Willow we truly will appreciate it. Your prayers are most needed as we know with God all things are possible.
I will update with Faith's progress as I am able to.
Thank you for your prayers and time reading or sharing this. I want to rally around Faith and let her know we love her and God has a purpose for her life!
