Chad Pohja recently experienced a life-altering accident while on a houseboat at Lake Powell. Chad sustained severe injuries to his head, neck, and collarbone. Thanks to the help of friends on the boat, Chad was able to get to a helicopter and be transported to St. George Utah for care. There he received word that he had a broken collar bone, broken vertebrae in his neck, and a significant wound to his head requiring surgery. Thankfully the expectation is he will make a full recovery, it will just be a long road to get there.

While insurance has covered a portion of the medical expenses, there are numerous costs that remain uncovered. These include specialized treatments, rehabilitation, and ongoing therapies that are essential for Chad's recovery journey.

The funds raised will go directly towards:

1. Uncovered Medical Expenses: Chad's injuries require extensive medical attention, including surgeries, consultations with specialists, and medications. Unfortunately, some of these crucial treatments are not covered by insurance.

2. Rehabilitation and Therapy: To regain his strength and mobility, Chad will need extensive physical and occupational therapy. These ongoing sessions are critical for his recovery but come at a significant cost.

3. Flight for Life Expenses: The emergency Flight for Life was a crucial factor in ensuring Chad's survival and prompt medical care. However, the expenses incurred for this life-saving service are substantial and have added to the financial burden.
