Medical and Recovery expenses for Caden

The boys were in a car accident. They were struck by 2 different vehicles on both sides of the car. Both boys were wearing seatbelts but I was told, because of the force of the impact combined with Caden's size, his seat belt snapped and he was ejected from the car and thrown all the way across the highway.
Cole is ok, physically. He had a leak in his lung, a fractured sternum and a couple fractures in his spine. Nothing requiring surgery. The doctors said all his injuries will heal on their own he just needs to take it easy for a couple of weeks.
Caden has a fractured pelvis and a spinal cord injury. He is paralyzed from the waist down. He is scheduled for surgery at 7:30 in the morning for them to go in and try to repair it. They will have to put him on a ventilator which he will stay on for a couple of days because they will go in and do the pelvic surgery the following day. The doctors said he has a 25% or less chance of regaining movement but numbers are irrelevant to us. No matter the outcome, we know God has a plan. Caden is coherent and knows what is going on. He has an amazing nurse tending to him and when he is awake, he is coherent, talks to and makes the nurses laugh and is, as always, respectful. Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed, offered up your homes, sent food and offered whatever assistance we may need. Please continue to pray for my boys, my family. We have a long, hard road of recovery, physically and emotionally, ahead of us. But I know I am so blessed. The outcome could have been way different. God is so good, this money will be used for Caden’s recovery.
UPDATE:
Caden went into surgery a little before 8 this morning. Unfortunately, I was not able to see him but his amazingly fabulous nurse did put him on the phone and let me talk to him. He was a little groggy because she had already given him some medicine but said, "Mom, gues what. They said if surgery goes well, I can sit up and maybe even drink a glass of water. You should go to McDonalds or Sonic and get me a big glass of ice water" I can do that kid! The surgical team will give me updates periodically during the procedure. They just called and said the actual surgery started about 9:30, they had to do get him positioned face down and take some more xrays but that he is doing good. I will try to share updates as I get them. I also forgot to add yesterday, the doctors did say that all the swelling and fluid applying pressure to the spinal cord could be causing a false paralysis and, once they go in and relieve that pressure, he may regain movement. So that is my prayer today, may that be God's will for him. And may he come out of surgery safely. ❤
