It's with a heavy heart that I tell all of our friends and family the news. Our family is suffering the loss of my tio Abel. Abel has been a type 1 diabetic all of his life. On Tuesday night he went into diabetic shock and was involved in an accident. He suffered a broken femur which then led to a series of strokes and seizures. As a result he was pronounced brain dead. Our family is now navigating this difficult time and we ask to be in your thoughts and prayers. We could not imagine a world without my tio Abel, but this is a world we now live in. The next steps to take are hard ones, but we are doing it together. Any donations would help his family as he leaves behind 5 kids and his wife, Laura.
