Medical and Memorial Fundraiser - Cathy Mazuroski

Donation protected
In a year when everyday already seems even worse than the last ,  our friend Cathy is experiencing a personal nightmare with the passing of her beloved husband of 37 years, Mark Mazuroski.
It started when Mark was diagnosed with throat cancer shortly after the start of the pandemic and after a fall at home, he was admitted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in July 2020.
Cathy continued to work full time while visiting Mark in the hospital most everyday as he was subjected to a trach tube and a feeding tube along with Chemo and radiation therapy and all this during an International Pandemic.
After weeks in the hospital he was sent to a SubAcute Rehab facility to start learning to walk again while travelling back and forth to the hospital to continue the cancer treatments.
Mark was finally released to come home to his Cathy on October 20th, just 2 days before their 37th wedding anniversary.
When the anniversary came those 2 days later and Mark was unable to go to dinner, Cathy went with a friend to have a nice Prime Rib dinner with the intention to go home and tell Mark all about it.
While at the table, waiting for her Prime Rib, Cathy had a stroke.
The ambulance came and took Cathy to the same Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center she had just spent all those weeks at as a visitor, only this time she was the one in the bed. She was the one whose turn it was to start on the journey of rest and rehab while Mark was still traveling to Dr appts and therapies on his own. Cathy spent a week at RWJ and was then transferred to JFK Rehab Inst for  her own rehabilitation.
The plan was for Cathy to go home on Friday 11/20 so she would be home for Thanksgiving, they would have had a lot to be thankful about as they were finally home together for the first time in months. But this was not to be.
On Wednesday 11/18 Mark was expected at JFK to get some training on assisting Cathy when she got home. He did not show up. Cathy then got a call from Mark's doctor to say he had missed an appointment. Cathy sent a friend over to check on him and when the friend got there, the police were already there and told her that Mark had passed away.
They were 2 days away from what was hoped to be the start of their new normal, whatever that was to look like but that got taken away.
Now Cathy has a funeral to plan and medical bills that have got to be beyond the imagination.
Please help us help her with her financial hardships.
