Medical and lost work

Many people know my Dad, Jim Small, throughout the community whether it is from one of his businesses, family, or friends. On Dec. 28th, 2022 he was admitted to Midcoast Hospital for abdominal pain that after many tests determined to be from his appendix. Surgery was scheduled for the 29th in the afternoon. During surgery, it was discovered that his appendix had burst and had caused other damage and infection that resulted in part of his intestines and colon being removed along with his appendix. Following the surgery, he remained at Midcoast until Jan. 5th. He was happy to be released but unfortunately, he is on a lot of restrictions, in constant pain still over 2 weeks later, and is unable to work for the time being. Anyone who knows my Dad knows that this is extremely hard for him to not be able to work. Without being able to work it means that the income is all on my Mom right now. I am hoping that some funds can be raised to help offset the financial income that my parents are missing due to his inability to return to work in the near future.
