My name is Julie and I am the proud daughter of Pat Russell and loving step daughter to Jose Martinez, in St. George, Utah. I wish this sentiment would be written with a more postive vibe but my elderly parents need some financial help.
They have recently gone through some major medically-necessary set backs. Jose broke his hip this week and has undergone emergency surgery that will required months, and months of rehab; plus thusands of dollars in copays and prescriptions not covered by social security benefits (surprising, I know *insert eye roll* ) On top of this, Pat has scheduled necessary critical heart surgery in the coming weeks. She will also incur a large amount of copays, many prescription costs, and subsequent doctors visits she may have to attend without Jose and may need a caretaker.
Jose, who is Pat's primary care giver, will be in a rehab center for at least a month. She is in such poor health, she is having a hard time taking care of herself and her two elderly cats who require frequent litter box chages, special diet meals, and daily medications. She is unable to clean her home on her own, as well. Without Jose, she is a prisoner in her own home without any help.
Her faith has kept her in good spirits, but the financial burden has become too much to handle. None of us are in a financial position to fly out to Utah to assist with care, so this isn't an option.
I've set the goal quite high but any amount of donation would tremendously help- nothing is too small. Also, if you know of any local St. George, Utah, resources that may help or would like to donate directly to Pat, please let me know. I'm managing this donation outreach for her and every penny will go to the care for Pat and Jose. My hopes are to be able to continue to provide support for them both through these challenging times. They have been using Uber Eats often, so if you would like to send them gift cards, please let me know!
Please spread this like wildfire- even sharing this is a tremendous help!
Julie
