Hello everyone,

With Sam and Jasons permission, I am sharing this fundraiser and medical information. For those of you who don't know, Jason came down with an extremely bad headache early on Saturday, Feb. 19th. On Sunday Feb. 20th, Sam brought Jason to the ER. Jason was then diagnoses with a brain bleed (before and after picture attached) and immediately transferred to Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He was admitted to the Neuro ICU. On Monday Feb. 20th during testing, they determined Jason would undergo surgery to remove the blood clots. He had a craniotomy surgery Tuesday afternoon. Post surgery Jason was fully sedated and placed on a ventilator through the night. Yesterday afternoon Jason was able to move to a step down unit. He passed his swallow test so was able to eat and drink some. Yay! His team of doctors have been wonderful throughout the process. Jason is becoming more alert and starting to joke around more.

 

His surgeon has been amazed with his progress. Although they have not found the cause for the brain bleed, they are hopeful his recovery will go smoothly. He will have extensive therapies in the weeks ahead.

 

Jason is the primary financial provider for his family. They recently purchased a new home and have three young children. Funds will help cover the large amount of medical bills, therapies, gas to and from appointments and to financially help his family while he is out of work.
