Hello. I'm Elizabeth Newby. I'm asking for help for Di Griffis and her family. She was the former owner of Ristorante Italiano di Famiglia. Di has been battling cancer off and on for several years. She's currently doing chemo treatments. Since selling/closing the restaurant, Di is having to move to an apartment to help cut living expenses. That was supposed to happen soon. This week (today is March 20, 2024) Di was experiencing symptoms of a heart attack. She went to McPherson Hospital ER to be examined. From there she was transported to Newton Hospital. With further testing, Newton Hospital decided that the place to help Di was Wesley Hospital in Wichita. At that time, Di was told that she would need quadruple bypass surgery. So yet again Di was transported from Newton Hospital to Wesley. After speaking with the doctor at Wesley Hospital, Di has been informed that she only needs a triple bypass surgery. This will be done on Saturday, March 23, 2024. With everything Di has been going through, I come to ask for help for her and her family. After three hospital visits/stays and two transports from one hospital to the next, a triple bypass surgery, chemo treatments, who knows what other medical expenses will add up during and after this time, moving expenses, living expenses, and being out of work for a while, they are going to need some help making it.
