Hello, this is Todd and Amber Bagley. Amber is currently in the hospital and had to receive emergency care after a piece of infection that is on her heart broke off and entered her brain. Over the course of five days the infection became the size of a small orange and completely incapacitated her.

Due to her having pulmonary hypertension, removing the infection on her heart through surgery is literally a life or death situation. They did surgery on her head because the infection was going to kill her. Unfortunately, due to her having severe complications during that surgery, the doctors don’t want to do another surgery.

So the plan is continue pumping antibiotics into her, but unfortunately this will be a long term solution and Amber will be out of work for an indefinite amount of time, if ever able to return. Teaching is her passion and as a special education teacher (she teaches 1st graders), this breaks her heart. Her students have been sending her messages telling her how much they miss and love her and to get better! I myself, will be out for several weeks to assist Amber.

We are not normally people who look for handouts and we totally understand that some people think that we have to sleep in the bed that we make, and we totally understand and respect that. This is just one of those situations that you never expect to be in and are totally unprepared for. This is not something that snuck up on us. This was totally out of the blue and that we were completely unprepared for.

We have no expectations for this, so anything that anyone can give will be very much appreciated and helpful!
