Hi, my name is Vicki and I am fundraising for my very good friends who have been through so much in the last five years.

After receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine in May 2021 Tony suffered a catastrophic MCA stroke due to a blood clot on the brain. This resulted in the family being told survival rate for Tony was 50/50 and a huge possibly of him being left in a vegetative state. Thankfully this did not happen, though Tony did have a craniotomy (removal of the skull) to allow the brain to swell and has since undergone a life threatening Cranioplasty operation.

During his six month stay in hospital he had to learn to swallow, talk, dress - as well as every other day to day tasks we all take for granted. He still has extreme difficulty walking and on the whole has to use an electric wheelchair. He still has no feeling in his left side (he was left handed too) and a whole list of other issues that I could go on and on about (war and peace)!!!! ;) This is a continual battle for Tony and his family in day to day life.

Tony worked full time in a good job prior to the stroke, but he has not been able to work at all since then. After a long fight, his wife Emma has been told today by Scott-Moncrieff and Associates Ltd that they are willing to take his case to an independent tribunal.

Unfortunately there is no legal aid in this circumstance so I am setting this page up in the hope that we can raise the funds to progress this case further. The Government will be opposing his appeal to the Tribunal and they will be using public money to pay for top commercial solicitors and experts so funding is needed to give him a fair chance of securing justice.

I know times are very hard for everyone right now but if you can donate even a penny to this cause it would be more appreciated than you could ever know.
