My Son and I are asking for help and support through Go Fund Me.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, my son Troy Ended up outside in -36 degree weather. He was outside longer than his body could handle and is now in the hospital with severe frostbite, and is facing the possibility of surgery to remove some toes. I have added a pic and apologize for the graphic nature.
I would like to go into more detail as to why we are so desperately seeking help. Troy is on heavy pain meds and antibiotics. He is awaiting visits from other specialists and a plastic surgeon. He is using a hospital wheelchair and cannot walk or stand. He is currently at the University Hospital in Alberta. They have told him that they have a bed shortage and is facing a discharge. I have been on the phone with doctors, nurses, social workers and patient advocates. I managed to prolong his discharge for a few days, but it is not enough.

Troy is a framer. He loves his line of work and is well sought out by employers. He had housing with his previous employer, but has currently lost it do to his injuries and inability to work at this time.
Troy is trying to secure a new home, and all the expenses involved. He needs to pay for transportation to and from appointments. He has some medical expenses and many to come. Troy will have a long road to recovery, which will include surgeries, physiotherapy, and the use of adaptive aids. Troy has come to the end of his personal funds and is now in the minus. Please, please, if you are able, help this young man, my son, get back on his feet…. Literally.
