Hello Everyone,
On February 16, 2019, my dear friend Yamil fell and headed to the hospital where he was admitted into ICU. He broke seven of his ribs, and after doing blood work and tests, they realized he was also having high blood pressure. After more and more tests came back, the doctor advised that his heart was only working at 25% and his heart was enlarged, and that he would need a defribilater and they wanted to do that surgery in about 6 months to give the heart time to shrink to a normal size.
After a week in the hospital they discharged him home and two days later at home he couldn’t breathe. His wife had to rush him to the hospital again, this time admitting him back to ICU! His heart was failing and he now needed a heart transplant. He had to be air lifted to another area hospital.
Upon arrival they realized his organs were failing. He has since been intubated and is in ICU on life support hoping for a chance to get his organs functioning properly again. With his organs failing they are unable to do a heart transplant.
They have had to shock his heart back into rhythm several times over the course of his hospital stay.
This man is a loving, caring generous person who puts everyone before himself. He is selfless, courageous and unbelievably strong! He is only 43 years old!
His wife has had to take a leave of absence from work to help take care of him with no income coming in. She has gone through every little bit of savings they had left to pay the bills that still come in.
The last thing they need right now is stress from finances.
