Hi, my name is Matthew, and I am trying to raise funds for my mom Mindy Schwartz. Mindy was in the ICU, and she is currently being transferred to Inpatient Hospice. She is not expected to recover. I want to share her story with the hopes it will move you to contribute whatever you can to this wonderful woman and mother.

 

On April 13th, which was also Mindy's birthday, she was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with DKA due to diabetes in addition to being in DKA she suffered a Minor Stroke. After 2 weeks in the hospital and scary outlook and she made it through! Mindy was then admitted to a skilled nursing facility for another 2 weeks and went through rehab, Mindy was finally released and was able to come home. Everything was going ok.

 

On May 25th my mom was found unresponsive in her home after a wellness check. She was then admitted back to the hospital. It was determined after extensive testing that Mindy had suffered a Major Ischemic Stroke and a brain injury from being Hypoglycemic. It has been 9 days now and the physicians and staff have done everything they could for my mom. as of 6/2/2022 she has been moved to an inpatient hospice facility. Mindy is not expected to survive.

 

My hope is that this Gofundme will help raise a bit of money to assist with any medical and hospice services and eventually funeral services along with a memorial for her. My mom did not have much. She was a good woman, a good mother, a good sister and to everyone else who knew her a good friend.

UPDATE: Mindy passed away peacefully in her sleep on 6/6/2022 at 4:55am. Thank you everyone for your prayers and donations.
