Hi my name is Jared Elbers and I've made this fundraiser for my father Edward Elbers.

On 8/28/23 Ed went into cardiac arrest and his heart stopped they had to resuscitate him for 17 mins they finally were able to get a pulse. He went into cardiac arrest 6 more times that day.

They ended up putting 3 stints in his heart and he's suffered from all of his ribs broken from the previous CPR. He's also suffering from short term memory loss

He has a very long road of recovery ahead with a bunch of Dr and specialist appointments ahead all out of town.

He's always worked his whole life and because of this tragic event he's unable to work right now and the bills are starting to pile up.

He has always been the sole provider for his family. He and Christa are raising his 2 grandchildren and 2 step daughters and doing the best they can.

He originally didn't want this gofund me made because he doesn't like to ask people for help or a handout. He's always been the one people ask for help.

All the money raised will go directly to Ed for medical and travel expenses.

Thank you to everyone that has prayed for him. He is getting stronger but still very weak and work is not even in sight at this time.

He has quit smoking and making every effort he can to get better faster.
