Hi, my name is Blessed Chigariro. I arrived in St John's Canada from England in early July 2025.

On September the 6th i accidentally tripped and fell while getting outside my flat to go to the convinience shop.

I unfortunately raptured my knee tendons on both legs and had corrective surgery on 21 Sepetember. I stayed at St Clair's Hospital for 2 weeks before being transfered to a care home for my injury rehab programme.

Fortunately, my MCP covered most of my medical bills but there are other needs i.e a pair of hinged braces which require money to have.

My challange is that at my time of injury, i had not amassed enough hours at work to claim EI and so my application was subsequently turned down.

I was later advised to to apply for Income Support and that too was unsuccesful.

I have used my credit card to the max to support my family and am now out of sorts as i have no income.

My rehab is progressing very well but it will be another 4 months before i can recover and back on my feet. I am a chef by proffesion and i require full fitness as i stand on my feet long hours to do my job.

Once i am able to walk, i intend to go home to South Africa to fully recover.

To do this, i will need help for my plane ticket and general upkeep before i return to Canada to start work again.

I would like to relocate my family here eventually.
