Hi my name is Sara. I am the mother of, Landon Herrmann. Back in August 2022, we got a call from one of Landon‘s college coaches telling us that Landon was in the ER because of what they thought was a concussion. After several test and nights in the hospital the neurologist and surgeon had told us that Landon needed surgery on his brain to fix his Chiari malformation. At this time, Landon had light mobility on the right side of his body, and headaches that put him in a lot of pain. Making the scary decision that we did, we decided to go forth. After three months of his first surgery, Landon’s brain formed a CSF leak. The CSF leak required a second surgery. Surgery was scheduled and performed in January of this year. At his six week follow up from the second surgery, we’ve now been told there is a small leak, but is normal, at this time. We need to keep an eye on it and have another test done in two weeks. He has released Landon to slowly get back to normal activities. At this time it does not include Landon’s lifting and sports. This is where the equipment/medical equipment comes in. It is our hopes that it will help him get stronger and get him back to what he loves to do, and that’s to play football. Plus, live a normal life. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers ♥️
