Medical and End of Life Costs for Mike Krimm

My father, Mike Krimm, passed away on November 25, 2025. He was a devoted father, husband, and friend who spent his life working tirelessly to provide for our large family of ten children. He lived with quiet strength, determination, and an unwavering commitment to take care of the people he loved.

My parents built their life on the corner of Munger and Reiger in Old East Dallas, where they raised all ten of us. After giving birth to my sister, my parents adopted six children from around the world, and then they were blessed with surprise triplets, which included me, when my father was forty two. My father was deeply passionate about supporting foster care and adopted children. He believed every child deserved safety, love, and opportunity, and he did everything he could to provide that.

In the early 1980s, my parents and five other families took a bold step and brought a federal law suit to the State of Texas to require the state to provide financial support to families adopting children with disabilities. Because of their efforts, families across Texas gained access to critical resources that help adopted and foster care children with their developmental and physical disabilities. My father never sought praise for this work, but his impact continues to be felt across the state.

My dad was also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, and he carried that same loyalty into every part of his life. He showed up for people. He supported others without needing recognition. He built deep, meaningful connections with neighbors, clients, and friends across Dallas. And while his family was the heart of his world, he had a wide and genuine community that stretched far beyond our home.

He was a member of East Dallas Christian Church as well as an active member of Business Networking International, supporting and uplifting other local professionals. One of his greatest joys was serving as President of the Woodrow Wilson High School Athletics Booster Club, where he spent time strengthening the school community and celebrating student athletes.

Professionally, he spent decades as a contractor specializing in renovating older homes throughout Dallas. Through that work, he became a trusted presence in the lives of hundreds of families. He helped people bring their dreams to life, restoring and transforming homes with skill, patience, and heart. Many of his clients became lifelong friends, and he was known for his honesty, warmth, and the pride he took in every project.

In 2023, he suffered a heart attack that began a long and difficult medical journey. He faced ongoing health challenges over the next several years, spending many months in and out of hospitals, emergency rooms, and doctor appointments. On November 24, 2025, he experienced a catastrophic cardiac event that destroyed his heart and caused multi organ failure. Despite everything the medical teams did, we said goodbye the next day.

The medical bills from his final months, along with the costs of end-of-life care, have placed a significant burden on our family. My mother, Teresa, feels this the most. My father was the primary earner for most of their life together, and the financial weight of his illness has been overwhelming.

I am creating this fundraiser to help cover:

  • Medical bills from his final months
  • Hospitalizations and emergency care
  • End-of-life costs and arrangements

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help lighten the burden during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser or sending a message of support would mean so much to us.

My father cared deeply for the people around him, both inside and outside our home. His life was defined by service, compassion, and an unwavering belief in helping others. This fundraiser is one way we can honor the life he lived, support my mother, and give him the dignity he deserves.

Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for helping us carry his memory forward.

With gratitude,

Andrew Krimm and family
