Medical and Care Costs for Glen
Donation protected
Hello! Many of you know my father, Glen Chizmadia. He was diagdosed with Corticobasal Syndrome almost 3 years ago. Corticobasal Symdrome is a progressive neurological disorder that affects each person diagnosed in different ways. My father has developed "apaxia" - the loss of praxis which is the disconnection between thought and bodily actions. Once the apraxia began other symptoms agressivly started to show. His speech has become almost inaudible. Recently, he was upfitted for a computer that can read his eyes and translate what he is trying to communicate. My stepmother, Cindy Chizmadia, was under the impression that insurance would cover the entire cost. Last week she was made aware that they would have to pay $800 towards the cost. I am trying to raise money to cover this cost and the cost of other medical needs and supplies my father needs. Cindy does work from home but with constantly having to care for my father it has made it difficult for her to work the hours needed. My father raised my brother, sister, and I as a sigle parent. He sacraficed so very much for the three of us and I am doing my best to give back and make his life and Cindy's just a bit more managable.
