To Emily’s friends, family, and even just people that may know her and want to help:

On 9/18/21, Saturday morning, Emily suffered a Massive stroke. She was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance and then air lifted to CMC Main hospital. It’s now been a week, and she’s been making incredible progress, which if you know Emily you know how much of a fighter and strong willed she is. It’s almost expected that she’s going to blow our minds by how strong she recovers. As strong as we all know she is, even the strongest of people could use a helping hand.

Emily is a Registered Nurse, and spends her life helping people. I’ve personally witnessed how big her heart is, seeing her help people who need assistance in living their day-to-day life and honestly from hearing the stories of her workdays at the hospital and how much passion and care she has for people. She works exhausting hours in a stressful environment, and still manages to keep a smile on her face. She is truly one of those remarkable people that just wants to help. She is one that will listen when someone needs to vent or just be there to help.

It’s going to be a long, tough road ahead for her through rehab, therapy, and recovering for her day-to-day life. There’s going to be a lot of stress for both her, and her fiancé Thomas, but one massive thing we can do is to help take care of some stress from bills that are going to be coming in. Although insurance will cover a lot of it, there’s still going to be a lot of out-of-pocket costs from the hospital, parts of therapy that may not be covered, and her taking a big hit from not being able to work right now. They were in the process of planning a wedding when all this occurred. So, the least we can do is help with bills as their worries should be on her recovery.
