Medical & Funeral services for Armando Ortega Sr

Our father, Armando Ortega Saavedra passed away on June 28, 2020.  He was taken to the emergency room on Monday June 22 midnight after his asthma progressively got worse which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. The doctors worked on him for 45 minutes trying to resisitate and keep him stable but within that time his brain wasn't receiving sufficient oxygen. We were told by the doctors he no longer had brain function. It hurts us to had seen him kept alive on machines and with no possibility of recovering to the man we knew and loved, we made the painful decision to free him of suffering. 

Armando was a man with so much optimism and humor for all of his family and friends. He was most devoted for his love of his family. Always making the toughest decisions so we would have the best life possible. Armando leaves behind his beautiful wife, daughter, son and grandchild.  We are so blessed for him to have time with his grandchild even for the short time it was she'll grow up to learn how much she was loved and cherished. 

In the final years of our father's life, it was very difficult. In 2017 he suddenly had amnesia and for a year we worked with him to regain his memory of his family and loved ones. The following year he would have his first severe asthma attack. He was treated and went back to work to provide for his family but yet again the treatment was not enough and his asthma progressed to get worse and would affect his sleeping and ability to work. 

Our father would never want us to worry about him and tried hiding his pain from us but we always stood by him and made sure he was able to get his medication and treatment he needed. 

This loss has brought our family so much pain, agony and stress for the financial situation we are in. 

We hope that by reaching out we can recieve the financial support needed to help our family get through this difficult time. We understand we are all having difficulties right now during this pandemic and are grateful for any help provided and hope for the best. Sharing this to others and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers is forever appreciated.
