Medical & End of Life Expenses for Kirk

As some of you know, my cousin Jodell Pardon's finance, Kirk Sporney was diagnosed with Melanoma of the brain over 2 1/2 years ago. The last time many of us saw either of them was on my daughter's wedding day in August of 2017. At that time, Kirk was not feeling well so when they returned home to Virginia, he got checked out by his doctor, and their journey began. Since then, they have been in the battle of their life!
Over the past 2 1/2 years, Kirk has received full head radiation for the multiple tumors in his head, and has been through a whole litany of cancer treatments. Jody has been his primary care giver and has spent many nights at the hospital at his bedside making sure he received the best treatment and attention possible. She has been his strongest advocate with insurances, medical billers, doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and now Hospice.
Kirk has not been able to work since his diagnosis, and Jody has had to reduce her hours in order to care for him. Kirk's doctors have been impressed with how hard he has fought, and he is their longest survivor for this particular disease. Unfortunately, it appears that it is not in God's plan to save Kirk, although we continue to pray for a miracle.
This GoFundMe is to raise money to help Jody with the piling medical expenses and to assist her with Kirk's end-of-life expenses.
The stress she has endured these past 2 1/2 years is pretty indescribable. While she was taking care of Kirk, her mother was battling (and won!) lung cancer and her dad suffered from COPD. Jody was unable to leave Kirk and Kirk was unable to travel, so she had to deal with her parents' battles from afar, adding to her stress! She has been a trooper, and if I ever need an advocate, I know who I would want by my side!! I'm hoping we can relieve a little bit of her burden by raising some much needed money to cover the piling expenses.
I hope you will consider helping. It's a difficult time for all of us right now, but I can't imagine adding this situation on top of it. Whatever you can give would be very appreciated. I feel pretty helpless but I know this would be a tremendous help to her. Jody is very proud and would never ask for help like this, but she promised if I did it, she wouldn't be mad at me :)
