My name is Sharon Cole and I’m starting this fundraiser for my cousin Diane McMasters and her husband Greg. You’re probably wondering why their names sound familiar? Greg and Diane are the Owner and Operators of Vintage Stove and Fireplace Ltd.
I’m sure at one time or another, you’ve needed your chimney cleaned, or a new wood/pellet stove installed or serviced. You most likely called on them. They serve
in the Amherst and surrounding area and also in Truro NS.
“The Backstory”
Greg & Diane are vacationing with friends in Jamaica. Yesterday (April 9) Greg had a heart attack and he is in ICU in Jamaica. There is a urgent need to have him moved to a Florida hospital but he’s currently not stable enough to be moved at this time. Of course to have him brought home would be our wishes yet we understand this is a process.
At the time of this post, his wife Diane has personally put out $10,000.00 in medical expenses in the last 24 hours. The family isn’t sure how long before insurance coverage will kick in or even how much they’ll cover. They are completely overwhelmed! With this medical emergency happening out of the country, everything is more complicated. Naturally, Greg’s care is their #1 priority.

We trying to cover expenses for medical or extended time out of the country. The cost of Air Ambulance from Jamaica Hospital to Ft Lauderdale FL Hospital is staggering (approximately $18,000.00) and also the costs of being admitted to two hospitals.
