Medical Aid to Sri Lanka

We are a group of Sri Lankans who live overseas raising funds to provide medical aid to Sri Lankans. We coordinate with Prof. Guwani Liyanage, President-Elect, Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians, to identify local needs and distribute drugs. Specifically, we are raising money to purchase a life-saving drug, Desferrioxamine Inj 500 mg. The monthly requirement for this particular drug is 30,000 units, as per information obtained from the medical supply division of Sri Lanka. Each unit costs roughly around $2.50.
