People have been asking how they could help and/or contribute with Meda’s sudden passing. She was such a generous light in the world who touched us all with her mischievous love and empathy. We started this page due to the volume of inquiries we’ve received. We all loved her a whole helluva lot. We also love her better half and wife Maren a whole helluva lot. We have created this page as an avenue for expressing our grief and love.
The truth of the matter is, when you lose your significant other, not only is it painful physically and emotionally, but the financial burden is something that just adds to the pain and frustration. We are hoping that collecting your donations will relieve some of that awful burden for a woman who has already lost her whole world. The last thing you should worry about when you’re mourning is how you’re going to pay for your mortgage, hospital expenses, funeral expenses, travel, (time machines) etc., especially when you’ve just lost a huge chunk of your family’s income.
There is absolutely no obligation to contribute to this fund. This is meant to be a celebration of Meda’s life and how much she meant to and helped others. It’s meant to be a cathartic way to come together as Meda’s community and help her one more time, perhaps as a reflection of how she helped us with her humor and love for life in all its ridiculousness. There is no judgment or expectation. Every dollar means something special. The “goal” amount will cover at least the cost of cremation.
