Med supplies & equipment 4 Frances
Donation protected
On 4/2/2018 Frances experienced a massive asthma attack which caused her to stop breathing. This lead to cardiac arrest and she needed to be revived. She is currently in recovery and fighting to come back to us from Persistent wakefulness, which has left her currently incapacitated.
The past 4 months Frances has currently been in sub-acute care.
The plan is to have Frances home on 8/9/2018.
We cannot wait for her to be settled in at home and to start our next phase into helping her recover. I feel she will keep making strides like she has been, but just know, we all still have to remain patient, and let Frances recovery on her/gods own time. Brain injury is no joke, and I can truly say, we take even just tying our own shoes, or being able to get up and walk outside on our own free will, for granted. So please, never forget, that as long as you have your health, all the problems that you may have, that you think is so difficult, really is not, and you should not let that bother you. Because all that won’t matter anyway when you are fighting for your health. Love and laugh more, and worry less! Please! ❤️
I'm currently in the middle steps of being her conservator. I've been handling all her decision making as far as her medical and financial needs. Our insurance has covered most of her medical equipment and supplies, but we do have a 25-30 percent co-pay. And, we do have to pay the co pay every time we re-order the supplies she needs. But I still look at it as a blessing, as we all know medical equipment and supplies are not cheap! With that said, there are supplies and equipment that our insurance “will not” cover. like her hand brace that will keep her hands from spasticity, her wheelchair, her bathing table, her electric "Hoyer" lift, her external catheter, her transportation equipment, her rehab exercise equipment, down to the special pillows made to help her relieve pressure from being in bed most of the time. the list goes on. Everyone that knows me well, knows that I am the last person that would ever ask for any help. But, although it is hard, I realized that it’s not about me and my pride. It’s about Frances.....
So with that being said, this GoFundMe page will go towards the rehab process. Please do not feel obligated to donate as we know it’s tough times for everybody. If you can donate even a dollar, it will go unmissed and really will go a long way! We also wanted to take this time out to thank everyone who has donated already on the first initial go-fund me! It helped us out tremendously, to stay afloat with the bills, until we sorted out our finances! So thank you all so much and we are humbly moved by everyone’s love and support.
I want to make sure to be transparent as to what the funding will go towards. The funding will help with the following...
Medical Equipment
Re-occurring supplies
Medical co-pays
Medical Finances
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
If you would like to donate via PayPal this would help me avoid service charge for withdraws from GoFundMe.
