Hi my name is Sue, I am fundraising to help my dear friend Mecushla and her partner Helen rebuild their home that was badly damaged in a severe storm today 1/10/2025 just outside of Leyburn QLD.

Cush and Helen are salt on the earth people who moved to their off-grid bush escape within the last year they wished for a quiet life with a few animals and a safe place for friends to visit.

The storm was devastating and pounded their property with fist sized hail stones, destroying the roof of the main property and many of the smaller sheds and animal coops. The solar panels which are their main source of power completely destroyed and the rain continues to drench all their belongings.

Unfortunately, the property is not insured and any amount that you could spare would be welcomed. Even a few dollars will help. They will desperately need trades to help make repairs particularly roofers. We know these trades will be in high demand, given it is storm season, but if there are locals trades that could donate time this would be worth more than a dollar donations and greatly appreciated.
